When I first started reading, I had read half a novel (It had 551 chapters) without checking a dictionary. Since it was an easy novel I didn't pay much mind but as I reached the half way point, I had to get a dictionary since many new words were in every page and going back and forth mostly ruined the vibe. That's when I shifted to moon reader, although the experience was the same with this app, what changed was another app that I combined with it.
Colordict, it's a dictionary look up app that uses dict format files as its dictionary, like Oxford, collin, Cambridge etc… It also has a dictionary of other languages. Instead of checking a certain word with a certain meaning, you can just press and the meanings of the word pops up, if one dictionary doesn't help out just scroll down and another dictionary will be present.
What you have to do is to find dict format files and add them to colordict. If you can send me a message via email, I can give you the files.
Moon reader has pretty much a lot of customization, and with colordict, it get much easier. You don't have to keep opening Google. What's more amazing is that, if you want a secondary dictionary you can also keep it too. Download collin dictionary from the play store and set it as your secondary, the whole learning about the app wouldn't be that daunting and getting used to such a setting will be easier than you think.
But what are the drawbacks?
First of all, if you face any word in its adverb or adjective state, you will have to remove a few letters and make the word into its noun or verb state. It will take you at least one or two days, it also helps you to know which word is in what state, a little fun game. This is due to lack of fuss search for dict files.
Except that, there haven't been many issues that I have faced while using colordict. If you did let me know, I will try my best to help you out.
